Synopsis: Stone-Hand commands the sentient computer to chase away Devil Dinosaur, so that his power over the group cannot be threatened. The Demon-Tree fires laser beams at Devil, who slowly wanders away. To further protect the Hill Folk gathered beneath it's high-tech limbs, the Demon-Tree seals them inside a plastic dome.

Moon Boy wakes and leaves the cave, ready to find his friend Devil Dinosaur. He swims past giant brontosaurs, is chased by small but deadly raptors, and is eventually rescued by his best friend!

Meanwhile, Stone-Hand, Eev, and White-Hairs are treated to a lush jungle of fresh water and fruit inside the Demon-Tree's dome, but Stone-Hand is dissatisfied with the lack of personal freedom he has and lashes out at the Tree. The Demon-Tree responds by gassing him into unconscious submission. While Devil and Moon Boy wander through the valley, everything seems peaceful (despite a brief altercation with a pterodactyl!) But from afar, Devil sees a glint of sunlight flash off the side of the dome. He and Moon Boy draw nearer to the Dome.

Inside, the old man White-Hairs has succumbed to old age and died. Fearing the Demon-Tree even more now that White-Hairs is dead, Stone-Hand lashes out at the tree with a club, which the Demon-Tree disintegrates with a flame thrower. Stone-Hand throws himself at the Demon-Tree, smashing it with his fists, and this time, he exacts a toll on the technological wonder. The Tree goes into "survival repair" mode, and as its powers are redirected other needs, the force field dome begins to wane, allowing Devil Dinosaur to crash through it.

Suddenly, the Demon-Tree explodes, and Stone-Hand and Eev thank Devil for helping them before they depart, together, into the distance.
