Synopsis:

The Watcher retells the origin of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, and then gives it a new twist: appearing on the scene of the accident where young Murdock was hit by a transport vehicle carrying a radioactive isotope is one Tony Stark. He realizes the implications of this accident and evacs Matt's body to the SHIELD Heli-Carrier flying above. Stark and Fury run tests on him and realize he's got extra-sensory powers despite being blinded. They realize he would be an amazingly talented secret agent...for them, or for their enemies!

At that very moment, HYDRA, who is aware of what SHIELD has in Matt Murdock, kidnap his father, the boxer Battlin' Jack Murdock.

Over the next 30 days, they train him to be an elite level agent, using his powers to increase his athletic abilities. Matt keeps asking Nick Fury about his dad, and he keeps telling Matt that his dad knows he's alright. But Matt can tell Nick Fury is lying. After admitting that his dad has been kidnaped by HYDRA, Matt tells him to shove off.

On the veranda of the heli-carrier, Matt meets a SHIELD double-agent who is a spy for HYDRA. She convinces him she can reunite him with his father. They try to escape in a helicopter, but Nick's men are too quick and grab it in a tractor beam. Matt is viscerally angry at Fury for stopping him trying to find his father. He agrees to take the boy into a search and rescue mission to find his dad. Eventually, they locate the HYDRA hideout, a base underwater, and Matt leaps inside with a vengeance, tearing across the HYDRA hordes and finally making his way to his dad.

Nick Fury and SHIELD agents come in to provide backup, and Matt and his dad knock out the last remaining HYDRA agents standing. Reunited with his dad, Nick tells them he's done an ace job as a double-agent, and he's set for the rest of his life. Battlin' Jack figures he can retire from boxing now, and Matt decides on a double-agent code-name: Daredevil!
