Synopsis: Daredevil is casing the city when his sound sensitivity overwhelms him once again, nearly causing him to fall to his death. He wonders if it was exposure to the radioactive explosives (see DD #185) that has brought this on, but realizes only Stick can help him. The Black Widow busts in on some ninjas robbing a body from the city morgue. It is the Kirigi they are after, and when she gives chase to them, they toss down foot spikes that are dosed with poison. She calls Nick Fury to give him an update that they got away with the body when she succumbs to the poison.

Daredevil is looking for Stick, and piles on the lowlifes in Josie's Bar to get his information. He's about to beat on a guy when his sound sensory overload takes him down to the ground. The thugs realize they have an opportunity to beat up on Daredevil, and they start ganging up on him, but DD makes a getaway. Meanwhile, Stick has been scouting Matt outside Josie's. The ninjas who kidnapped the Kirigi's body are also after Stick, with the task being to kill him. They attack him from behind, but Stick is able to kill them all.

DD is still on the run, with the thugs from Josie's hot on his tail. He tries to cross the street, but his radar sense is all askew, and he collapses in the middle of the road. A cabbie notices DD is being ganged up on by thugs and he grabs a crowbar and knocks them around in aid of the hero. He drags him to his cab and tells him he'll drive him anywhere he needs to go.

Nick Fury meets with Natasha and tells her the ninja poison is lethal to her system, and she only has a few days left to live.

DD shows up at Josie's again and makes his way directly to Walleyed Pike, a known associate of Stick. Pike tells him he was supposed to meet him for a game of pool but never showed. As DD leaves, he's knocked down again by sensory overload, and the thugs at Josie's pile on once again. Ironically, at the home of Matt Murdock, Stick has taken occasion to assemble three of his former proteges, members of The Seven. Since only three showed up, Stick assumes the Hand have killed the rest. He tells the three ninja that they need Daredevil to help them in their cause. At that moment, DD clambers home and collapses on the floor.

At a church nearby, the Kirigi's body is laid out on a table and in a ceremony presided over by a ninja priest, several ninjas feed their life forces into the Kirigi and he rises from the dead.
