Synopsis: The Black Widow escapes from her hospital room, where Nick Fury wants her kept while they try and find a cure for her. But Natasha is not willing to stay confined, and she sets out to find her own way through her ordeal. After a pitstop meeting her old friend Ivan Petrovich, she takes off to the one man she knows she can always count on: Matt Murdock. She enters his apartment and sees that he isn't there and leaves, sparing her a fight with the ninjas from the Seven that are on guard while Matt and Stick are vulnerable.

Down in the basement, Stick sits atop an isolation chamber that Matt lies inside, surrounded in a bath of water with an oxygen mask over his face. Stick speaks to Matt through a mental wavelength, guiding him through the cure for his hypersenses gone haywire.

Meanwhile, as the poison slowly makes its effects over her body known, Natasha makes her way to Heather Glenn's apartment. She eavesdrops on Heather talking to herself about her messed up relationship with Matt Murdock. Later, she heads to Matt's law office, and he isn't there either. Across town, the ninja priest who helped restore the Kirigi to life gives him his next task- to destroy the Hand's greatest foe: Stick.

Back at the isolation chamber, Stick tells Matt that there might not be time to try and cure his problem before the Hand shows up to do them all in. Stick tries to tell Matt that his problem is that he is stuck in the mud of confusion and helplessness. The Black Widow greets the Kingpin by beating up all his bodyguards, then demands to know where Daredevil is. Before she can get any answers, her skin starts to burn, and she runs away, the poison finally starting to overtake her. The Kirigi has made it to to the room where Stick is sitting over the isolation tank, talking to Matt about how his radar sense wasn't given to him by his interaction with the radioactive isotope like he thought; but that the interaction merely opened up his mind to the sensory abilities that every person has but doesn't know how to put into play. But suddenly Matt realizes that Stick has disappeared. He realizes that trouble has arrived, perhaps in the form of the Hand, and he must do something about it.

He climbs out of the chamber and realizes he's been cured. Sounds no longer overwhelm him. But the Kirigi is fighting Stick, and soon Stick's partner from the Seven- Shaft, who fires arrows from a bow; Claw, who has Wolverine-style claws attached to his hands; and Stone- who fights with a sword. The three of them finally beat down the Kirigi, and just as Stick is introducing Matt to the Seven, Natasha comes stumbling into the room, calling out Matt's name, her flesh burning.
