The 198 begin to riot, and are sprung from the camp at the X-Mansion to a base in New Mexico by Domino and Shatterstar. The X-Men let them escape, which upsets Bishop who believes they ought to be doing a better job of policing their own in the face of mounting pressure on all super-humans during the Civil War. Iron Man anoints Bishop to be leader of a small task force that is meant to draw in the 198; joining him are Sabra and Micromax. General Lazer doesn't like this threat to his power. The original X-Men, Cyclops, Iceman, Beast and Angel, suit up to defend the 198 against Bishop and the Sentinels.
