"Embedded Part Seven"
Ben witnesses Speedball getting shot on the steps of Capitol Hill. Congressman Eugene Sykes, a supporter of the Registration Act, meets Sally and arranges for her release from prison on constitutional grounds. He explains his political positions in favor of registration and clarifies what he views to be her position from his point of view. Osborn is met in his office by a mystery man who trades him a serum that is supposed to block the nanites in his system that force him to acquiesce to his superiors. In return, he asks Osborn's cooperation with a certain plan he's got in mind....
"The Accused Part Seven"
Robbie is raced to a hospital in the back of an ambulance, but his powers come back leading to another explosion that causes the ambulance driver to crash.
"Sleeper Cell Part Five"
Detectives Keith and Donna continue their investigation into the Atlantean sleeper cell while Wonder Man's surveillance of "Joe's" cell is disrupted by the Green Goblin, causing unexpected mayhem.
"Correspondence"
Images of the Battle of the Somme in WWI, with an A. E. Housman poem providing narrative to juxtaposed images of the fight between Wonder Man and the Atlantean Sleeper Cell.

Ben's police department source, Danny Granville, cuts him in on information about the recently discovered Atlantean terror cell; in exchange, Ben promises to set up the single cop with Sally Floyd. Meanwhile, Sally is beckoned to the Secret Avengers hideout by Captain America.

Maria Hill interrogates She-Hulk about her dealings with Speedball, while lingering in the background is his old cellmate Hickey. while Robbie lies in a coma at Reed Richard's lab.
"Sleeper Cell Part Six"
An Atlantean envoy arrives for a brokered peace meeting with the world community. Norman Osborn is in the crowd and pulls out a pistol, firing at the envoy and shooting him.
"Correspondence"
The Battle of Edgehill, a fight in the English Civil War of 1642, is recounted alongside the fight between Ms. Marvel and the Falcon.
"Embedded Part Nine"
Sally meets with Captain America but aborts the interview after dismissing many of Captain America's views as being buried in patriotic one-sidedness. Ben and Peter Parker investigate Tony Stark's recent trading behavior, which leads them to suspect that there is insider trading going on. Sally and Danny's date goes surprisingly well, and he hooks her up with information on Norman Osborn. Reed detects that there is a traitor in their midst after looking into the reprogramming of the nanites in Osborn's bloodstream. Tony takes Reed aside and tells him he knows who the traitor is....
"The Accused Part Nine"
Robbie is returned to prison after recuperating from his wounds, but during an attempted prison break by a set of super-villains, his powers reemerge. He tells the guards he's ready to register.
"Sleeper Cell Part Seven"
Norman Osborn is interrogated by police for attempting to assassinate the Atlantean envoy. He tells them he can't say who put him up to the crime, and later is taken into custody by higher authorities than the local police.
"Correspondence"
A history of writer Paul Jenkins' grandfather, Bill Eldridge, and his sacrifice as a private in the British Army on the front lines of World War I.
"Embedded Part Ten"
Ms. Marvel passes information about Osborn and the identity of the traitor on to Sally Floyd. Sally and Ben both realize that they are developing huge stories; Ben resigns from the Bugle so he can have the freedom to tell it. In Time Square, all hell breaks loose when the battle between heroes spills over to Manhattan from the Negative Zone. In the clamor of battle, Sally and Ben compare notes on what they know about the reasons why the war has gotten to where it is today.
"The Accused Part Ten"
Robbie meets with the father of one of the Stamford children who tried to assassinate him. He tells him that part of his deal for signing was that the man would be released from prison. Later, he burns his Speedball costume and puts on a new outfit, an outfit which inflicts physical pain upon his body that helps him activate his powers. He is now to be called Penance.
"Embedded Part Eleven"
Times Square is demolished after the climax of the Civil War. Sally and Ben meet with Captain America who explains his actions and motives behind his dogged pursuit for what he believed in. Sally dresses him down for being out of touch with what the average American is and wants from someone like him. Together, Sally and Ben open a website for their journalism, frontlines.com. Ten days later, they are granted a meeting with Tony Stark to get his side of the story. They confront him with the facts as they know them: that Tony Stark himself manipulated Norman Osborn to help bring about the brink of war with Atlantis in order to provide sufficient motivation to bring the rest of the unregistered heroes around to his side in order to prepare for America's defense. However, Sally and Ben tell him that they are not going to publish the story. Tony doesn't admit that they are correct, but after they leave, when he breaks down sobbing.
