BLACK PANTHER #19: "Holiday In Latveria"

Black Panther and his bride, Ororo, spend a honeymoon on one of Namor's Caribbean islands. While Everett Ross and the US State Department track the newlywed power couple's movements, they leave their honeymoon to begin a world tour visiting heads of state around the world. Their first stop is Latveria, where Doom's attempts to find common cause with T'Challa are met with skepticism by the couple. Naturally, this leads to violence with Doom and his army of Doombots, and the Black Panther deploys his newly developed suit of armor to defend himself. Eventually, Storm and Black Panther overcome Doom and are able to evacuate themselves from Latveria.

BLACK PANTHER #20: "Fly Me To the Moon"
23 pages + cover • November 2006

Black Bolt requests a meeting with Black Panther at the moon. He and Storm rocket up to the moon and arrive at Attilan, the Inhumans' homeland. Medusa greets them and warns that they are considering declaring war on humans after the crystals that produce the sacred Terrigen Mists were absconded with by General Lazer (see Son of M.) As the meeting progresses, there come disagreements and misunderstanding between the two royal families, and the event ends rather unproductively.

BLACK PANTHER #21: "Aqua Boogie"

Next stop on the world tour is Atlantis, as Storm and Black Panther are greeted by Namor. The Sub-Mariner relates to T'Challa a story during WWII, when he visited Africa along with his Invaders teammates to take care of Nazi infiltrators and had occasion to meet T'Challa's grandfather in Wakanda. The subtext of that story informs Namor's request that Black Panther consider leading a global resistance group to guard against newly acquired dominance by Tony Stark. Black Panther decides to ask someone like Captain Britain to take that role himself, but says he'll consider it. Iron Man is aware of Namor and T'Challa's machinations, and discusses with Rhodey's Sentinel ONE team ways to deal with it....

BLACK PANTHER #22: "Inside Man"

Storm and Black Panther seek material support for their plans to help Cap. They are turned down by Captain Britain and the X-Men. On a trip to the White House, Ororo is asked to register; she declines. Outside, a Sentinel piloted by Rhodey tries to stop them. Iron Man shows up and tells Black Panther to butt out of the affairs of the US. Black Panther, however, intends to stay in the US for the foreseeable future.

BLACK PANTHER #23: "War Crimes Part One"

Bill Foster's family files a wrongful death suit against the government. The Wakandan Royal Family meets with Black Panther and tells him not to involve himself in the American Civil War between heroes; they find more influence with Storm than they do the King. He rendezvouses with with the Secret Avengers, but Black Widow tries to intercept him; the Dora Milaje thwart her efforts. Black Panther eventually finds Cap and offers technical assistance; he joins the Secret Avengers. Iron Man preps the Thor clone to stand against Black Panther's power play.

BLACK PANTHER #24: "War Crimes Part Two"

Iron Man travels to the Wakanda embassy to talk to Storm about the attack on Jim Rhodes at the White House, and he is not pleased when they refuse him entrance. While the US forces encroach on Wakanda, Black Panther and Captain America finish their friendly fight, then he meets fellow resistance members Sue Storm and Falcon. A Wakandan political enclave meets and decides to wait for Black Panther's orders on how they should react to the US. Black Panther senses that Tigra is acting surreptitiously. He sees Monica Rambeau, who asks to train with him, leading to an awkward moment based on their past romantic history. After meeting with her grandparents, Ororo sets out to meet with Reed Richards about registration issues.

BLACK PANTHER #25: "Thunder and Lightning"
23 pages + cover • April 2007

Black Panther trains Monica to adapt her powers with Wakandan technology. Storm meets Reed Richards and still remain at an impasse. The battle at Ryker's/Negative Zone spills into the streets of Midtown Manhattan. The Wakandan embassy is evacuated. The battle between heroes reaches its full force when the battle between Storm and the Thor clone wrecks the embassy. Storm and the Invisible Woman soften up the clone for Hercules to demolish. The battle concludes and Black Panther tells his wife that Captain America has surrendered, and now they are "on their own".
