WHAT IF MARVEL MASTERWORKED THE SILVER AGE?

What If? That was a great comic for awhile there. Marvel writers got to imagine different scenarios and storylines keyed to the most definitive moments in our heroes lives. What If Elektra had lived? What if Spider-Man had joined the Avengers? What if Korvac Had Won? (My personal favorite!) Well, we get to play a similar little game here at the Marvel Masterworks Resource Page: What If Marvel Published My Favorite Comics In Masterworks?

Certainly, we all hope to see our favorite comics get canonized in the Masterworks series. Some (FF and Spidey) may come sooner than others (Ant-Man or Captain Marvel,) but eventually it's not too hard to imagine all of Marvel's Silver Age under wraps in Masterworks. This page is dedicated to the Silver Age of Marvel, and maps out what we might expect if these comics were to one day get Masterworks treatment. This page pulls together all the comics found in the Silver Age Timeline, which covers the superhero comics from FF #1 to FF #102.

It's important to note a few things here: these are NOT books in print from Marvel, nor to my knowledge in preparation! These maps and mockups spring solely from the imaginations of the contributors to this website. The maps may or may not be accurate when and if the particular volume comes out, but that's not the point. It's merely an attempt to give a ballpark idea of what Marvel might do in the future. (What If? ya know!)

Scan through the list of offerings and have fun checking out the maps and mockups for each volume, which are linked by volume numbers. Many thanks go out to the incredible time and energy put into this by this webpage's contributors, and their efforts will be noted on each volume page. If you want to contribute something, or have some other ideas, please email me! So, have fun looking and wondering "What If....?"
