WHAT IF: Atlas Era Rawhide Kid Vol. 1

Map by GaryUK: reprints Rawhide Kid #1 - #8 (194 pages)

***PLEASE NOTE: Sometime in 2006, Marvel comics is starting a Rawhide Kid Masterworks line that begins with the "revival" period begun by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the first issue of which was Rawhide Kid #17, and which were definitely part of the "Marvel Age" of comics ushered in with the publication of Fantastic Four #1. The first 16 issues were different in tone from the later rendition, with work from Bob Brown, John Severin, and Dick Ayers, pencilling scripts by Stan. The series was stopped with #16, and after a 3 year layoff, reintroduced in the fall of 1960, as a precursor to the "Marvel Age" of comics. Despite Marvel starting with #17, that doesn't mean they couldn't one day return to where Rawhide Kid all began. A vision of how they could do it is in these maps: a two-volume set, reprinting 8 issues of continuity each, with the "slimline" price of $39.99- the Atlas Era Rawhide Kid Masterworks! ***
